RUANG LINGKUP, TUGAS DAN FUNGSI

Based on the President’s rule of Republic of Indonesia number 45 year 2015 about the ministry of agriculture, the task of the ministry of agriculture is to run the government in agriculture to help the president leads the country.

To run the task, the ministry of agriculture executes some functions:

1. The formulation and establishment in agriculture infrastructure, improvement rice, corn, soybeans, sugarcane, meat, and another agricultural products, and also improvement of the value, competitiveness, quality, and agriculture result distribution;
2. The implementation of the policy in agriculture infrastructure, improvement of rice, soybean, sugarcane, meat, and other agricultural products, also value addition, competitiveness, quality, and agriculture result distribution;
3. Training for technical problem and guidance of the implementation of the affairs of agriculture infrastructure, improvement of rice, soybean, sugarcane, meat, and other agricultural products, also value addition, competitiveness, quality, and agriculture result distribution;
4. Implementation of research, development, and innovation in agriculture;
5. Implementation of training and human resources development in agriculture;
6. Coordination and execution of diversification and strengthening food strength;
7. Agricultural quarantine execution and supervision in biosafety;
8. Execution of support that is substantial for all organization in the ministry of agriculture;
9. Guidance and administration support in ministry of agriculture environment;
10. Management of property/ country assets which become ministry of agriculture responsibility; and
11. Supervision over the task execution in ministry of agriculture environment.
